Well, darn. I was really hoping Funi would get it and do a simuldub. Oh well.

I just wanted to see it with my Fiancé. She can't gets headaches from subtitles, so it has to be dubbed. It'll just be a while until they dub it. We both loved Death Note and other Obata stories.

Ah I see. I think Crunchyroll starts releasing dubbed episodes when the shows reach halfway point?

I didn't have any intention of watching this, but I guess good for those interested in it.

Well, more or less after a few weeks or a month into airing.

Amén... Crunchyroll dubs are way better than Funi in my country

Has anyone read the manga? Is 24 episodes enough to properly cover the 14 manga volumes?

The whole thing can definently be covered in 24 episodes.

I'm a little surprised CR snagged this over Funi or Netflix given that Death Note still springs eternal here in the west, but it'll be interesting seeing how heavily they end up promoting it considering Platinum End is very...not good. The first half is at least amusingly bad though so it'll probably be a fun trainwreck for the first 12 episodes at least

I'm hoping all the English releases of the mamga come out in time ad I'd like to read it before watching the show. But there have been a lot of delays...

It probably says a lot about the quality of the manga that Funimation passed on it.

Or they just weren't able to get it.

Don't tell me Funimation hasn't licensed a bunch of anime based on equally bad stuff before (Hatena Illusion for the most recent example).

Now way it's 1 volume longer than Death Note, it probably will be rushed. Anyway ending was bad.
