Question: Is this the English or Japanese dub? I assume English, but I would like to refer some friends to the Japanese dub if it's available.

It is the original Japanese version with English subtitles which the article and the headline should make clearer as this is a big deal to have the uncut version of Digimon streaming. The dub can already be watched on Hulu. https://withthewill.net/threads/digimon-adventure-streaming-subtitled-in-europe-mena-on-crunchyroll.25139/

It's subtitled and using the upscaled Japanese Blu-ray masters.

Glad to know it's in Japanese and with the original music. No one should be subjected to that horrible American edit.

Damn, I'm in the US and I'd like to watch the original with subs instead of a censored American dub :/

Awesome! Did Crunchyroll do their own subs for it? Because I know the previous official subs Digimon had were...questionable at best. Here's hoping this leads to more Digimon getting the same treatment!

Not available in Australia, what a shame. Animelab only has the dubbed 'Digital Monsters' version.

If I'm not mistaken, Adventure and 02 only had the old, old ass Direct2Drive subs (notoriously bad) for years and years with Tamers getting a more-recent-but-not-really set of subs for when the JP version was on Netflix that was mildly better (I remember them using the JP terms as well.) |

So ANN uses the original Japanese title for Digimon: Digital Monsters but uses the overseas title for Pocket Monsters? Inconsistency. That's why the original name should be used at all times. You were going to slip up eventually.

Australia is a Toei USA territory so if we ever get it subbed here again, it'll be the same on your side. |

For your information, some people prefer the American edit, myself included. But I do think both versions should he avaliable for people who prefer one version over another. Tried watching it subbed, some parts felt dragged out and boring to me. Only good parts I think are good about the sub is the digivolving music. |

Yeah, i happen to like both. There's something fun about Digimon's inability to age due to its dub being so overtly '90's. |
