I'm not going to get my hopes up for the adaptation because that can only end in tears but Twittering Birds Never Fly is an outstanding piece of actual mature and erotic queer fiction with a unique non-sexual relationship between the blessedly middle-aged main characters and a lot of enthusiastic consent from the type of character rarely depicted as a super sub: an enigmatic and seductive yakuza boss.
Please, if anyone is reading this, please support the original. Read it on your phone if you have to, whatever it takes. |
