This new model with better battery is going to be really good, i hope this will attract better-experienced gamers like me.

They will, but I guess that’s where the Lite can be a stop-gap measure. Also, this is the minority. I own six Joy-Con controllers and have had no issues with any of them.

This is a minor update, but a nice one. I think it's due to a more efficient version of the SoC, and a switch to DDR4 ram (same things the Lite has), not an actual larger battery.

I won't be swapping my current Switch for this, but if I played it undocked more I might...

I play almost exclusively docked so this isn't for me, but I like the color of that blue joy con. Too bad it isn't a matching set =/

Minority in the sense that it's not a common problem. Or minority in the sense that you're among the lucky few who don't have to deal with the problem?

Mine has consistently been pressing up on the left joy-con, both the direction up arrow and the analog, for months now. If Nintendo can't fix that, there's no point to the new Switch. Or the portable one, for that matter.

the original switch undocked never went longer than 2.5-3.0 hrs for me.

The new one probably has 4-4.5 max i reckon.

The longer hours must mean for 8bit games or some very low power function app or just sitting on the main menu.

I tend to get around 5 hours on the original Switch, but in handheld mode I'm typically playing 2D indie games, which aren't as demanding.

Anyway, since they appear to be emulating the DS line, I eagerly anticipate the eventual Switch XL and/or NSi XL--an upgrade actually worth upgrading to.

So this slight revision of the original Switch model will have a longer battery life than the new exclusively handheld version? That means that Switch Lite is officially inferior as a handheld, the function it was designed for.
