Is the upcoming volume of the novels the last one? I've heard from people who've read the latest novels that the author really changed the characters a lot to the detriment of the story.

Love this series very much & eagerly wait to see how this all wraps up! Hopefully they will have Studio FEEL animate the 3rd season like they did for season 2. |

Since Oregairu light novel is about to end soon, I was expecting this would happen.
I am definitely happy that there is a 3rd season but what I have heard about the last couple of volumes are not exactly great. |

 To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this series would ever get a conclusion in animated form, so I’m glad to see that more is finally on the way. My day has been made.

Did I just channel Army of Darkness, a third movie in a series followed by a three season TV series, to explain my feelings on a series getting a third and final season? Groovy. |

Ever since I found out the series was still continuing with the light novels, I always had a little hope that the series would return. Also considering Vol. 13 was released in October of 2018, and was the top selling at that time. Many people thought because there weren’t as many source material the series could end up being a 6 running episode or turn into a movie. Now, I’m hoping they can push up to a least 10eps at most.

I would have been more surprised if we never got more SNAFU anime based on how successful the first two seasons were in Japan. The reason for this delay between season 2 and 3 is most likely because of the lack of more source material to adapt. |
