There's an article back then that season 2 was offered to studio Sunrise, I hope they will be doing it.

With the way the number of Likes and Dislikes are, I can't even imagine this 2nd anime doing a fraction as well as the first series.

It will be curious to see how this second season hold up to the original's standards now that the creators are gone. For now, I am happy to see more of these safari girls in the future.

Yaoyorozu treatment issues aside, this clip was the chance to show fans that the new production crew could produce the anime the same as the old one. Looks a little clunky to me, and please tell me that wasn't Serval because if it was, they utterly failed to reproduce the character. I do hope Kadokawa and associates gets dumped on though because they had zero compelling reason not to have the original crew doing more.

It finally looks watchable, if only Kadokawa didn't fire the director for at least trying to get a good product on air. I might skip it due to some seriously bad business practices.

After analyzing the incident and people's reactions, I am now worried about how Kadokawa will handle the second season. I seriously hope that they do not turn Kemono Friends into another Idolmaster/Uma Musume/Bang Dream/Little Witch Academia, such as adding a generic self-insert guy or irrelevant hetero romance or a fujobait boys edition. Just please keep Kemono Friends being all about cute anime girls doing cute animal things.

Kadokawa better know what it's doing because it can no longer be able to put an end to the anger that already surrounded the Kemono Friends fandom.

I am very skeptical that Kadokawa understands why Kemono Friends was popular and it was more than cute characters and occasional action scenes. The rumors early this year indicated that Sunrise was going to make the second season in 2D which would have at least kept the second season somewhat distinct. As it stands it looks like Kadokawa fired Yaoyorozu just to turn around and hire another CGI studio to make the second season.
