Well, I guess that tells me what type of ending episode 24 will bring. Laughing

Nonetheless, HELL YEAH!!! More Shana goodness! Cool

Well, I knew there would need to be some form of sequel and this make the prospects of a second season or a sequel TV series more promising. The manga is still ongoing with a new arc and villian and there are still quite a number of plots that need to be resolved. A some examples are spoiler[Margery finding the Silver flame Tomogara and hopefully defeating it, the origins of the Reiji Maigo, Shana's past prior to being picked up by Wilhelmina, Alastor, and Shiro, and the story of the previous Enpatsu Shakugan no Uchite, Merihim/Shiro, and Wilhelima]. That's still a lot of material to work with.

Of course, they could just pull an Utena on us: give the series a definite ending and make a movie that ignores the TV series altogether.

But they probably won't. Hooray!

There's also the question of whether the movie will be totally original, or if it will follow the novels. Quite a few of the things Rªdì¢âl_£Ð mentioned are covered later in the novels. The series ended approximately with volume 9 of the novels (though I believe they made up their own ending), and there's 12 volumes currently, with the series still ongoing.

Couldn't be happier if that was the case. Having two completely differing stories for the same show, sometimes with all new characters even, gives fans some added variety. "parallel timeframes/places" tend to make me happy Very Happy

I prefer having a continuation of a story rather than parallel worlds and such, I'm only at episode 18 now and well...I want this to end well, at least between a certain guy and a certain girl...if that doesn't end well....too bad...*snif*

I was trying to find more info on the movie, so I went to the official web site. I can't read Japanese, so all I could tell was something in 2007... I want to assume that it's about the movie, but don't quote me on it. If anyone can interpret and have the time and post a reply, please help. Thanks. Here's the site...

And if anyone has a reply for DeezNutz4u, then please PM it. This thread is well over 2 months old, and should not have been revived just for the sake of translating a page. Thanks.

A short teaser after the OAV (Shakugan no Shana Special: Off-Campus Class on Love and Onsen!) states the date of the movie release as sometime in April, 2007.
