I know how you feel, I got all excited when I saw Gakkou Gurashi news just to be disappointed when I saw what it actually was.

Given that Hollywood has proven that Zombies are easy to pull off realistically, and there are no other supernatural elements, there's no reason to believe that this won't be done fine.

Honestly, School-Live! as a Live Action film?
No. It's just too long paced to be done properly.
At worst it'll be a mis-mosh of the early chapters with maybe including the Mall run or the 'Graduation' as the last act. No matter what, it'll be a absolute mess.

That's the thing a live-action adaption is apt to turn School-Live! into just another zombie-gore fest-

A second season continuing the story in anime format would sever better. Casting would be a nightmare for this one as well as production costs to do it justice.

Did you watch Corpse Party live action? Expect almost exactly that.

I did see live-action Corpse Party! And no, I don't expect live-action School-Live to be almost exactly like that. While the movie may show a bit more detailed zombie violence than the anime did, I don't really think they will go overboard since the idea should be to reflect the same tone/feeling as the anime/manga, and School-live is nowhere as depressingly bleak as Corpse Party. But for the time being I'm just going to wait and see either way.
