Quote: | Synopsis for "Campiones of the Sanctuary"
The new series by Jou Taketsuki, the author of "Campione!" and "Chronicle Legion"."The World is filled with Gods"'Sanctuary', an other dimension connecting the divine and mortal realms and poses disastrous threat on the whole world. The Kobe City in Japan is abruptly connected with the world of the famous mythical Greek war of the Trojan War, 'Sanctuary of Trojan', thus creating a great disaster as demons appear within the city.Shiba Riona, Japan's strongest onymouji and the girl called to be a reincarnation of god, is sent to control the situation.
However, her 'master', Rokuhara Ren, was just an ordinary person who was somehow affiliated with the most influential organization among the Magician World, "Campiones".
Riona always digsuted Ren who could escape and flatter others incredibly. However Ren had a trump card that could 'summon a god'.
"Change the plot of the mythologies. If needed- Kill the Gods"
In the world jumbled with gods and heroes ...The King of Gods, Zeus, Goddess Athena, The Hero Achilles...Ren and Riona attempt to complete humanly impossible missions.
For the sake of their mission, they would even "kill the gods", the battle of the sanctuary thus begins.!!!

I loved the anime too. I would love it if we could get the novels and manga in English but the series never seemed to drum up a lot of interest or enthusiasm here, at least not that I can tell...

It drummed up enough interest that a website was publishing fan translations of the books and then got a C&D. I got to read up to book 18 and I wish that I could read the last three volumes just to see how the author ends the series.

One of my favorite LN series. I really liked the anime too, although I wish they had not done that anime original ending.
His new series doesn't sound that interesting.

Campione hasn't been licensed for English release?
Wow. I guess I was mistaken.

Yeah. I read some of it there, but I never got anywhere near that far. And now it's gone. I really wouldn't mind the C&D if it were then legitimately released in English, but there's no sign of that, which really sucks. Yes, the fan translations are technically illegal, but too often, they're the only way to get some of these series in English. Fortunately, there has been a big boost in light novel releases in the US in recent years (it used to be that we didn't get any at all), but unfortunately, Campione is not yet one of the series to see the light of day that way.

The anime was licensed and released by Sentai, but no one has announced that they've licensed the light novel series. Shueisha publishes the series in Japan, and they own Viz, but Viz has done very little with light novels in quite a while now, so if it needs to come through them, we're screwed. I don't know if Shueisha has licensed any light novel series to anyone else or not or whether they're willing to do so. I believe that most Shueisha manga get released through Viz, but they don't all get released by Viz, so there may be hope. Still, with so many light novel series waiting to be brought over, the odds aren't good.

Campione! hmm, I still remember when this aired.
We were used to those low ecchi anime where some accidental boob grab or kiss was the highlight of the show...
Then came Campione! blowing everything away with french-kisses that would end in the esophagus, ecchi anime was never the same after this xD

Is it my imagination or you really keep posting on months old posts? I think this is like the 5th time in the last 1/2 weeks...
