I'm kind of curious about these games. I've never played them(Or really any of Gust's games.), but it has my interest. I'm also guessing it's an all-female cast? Didn't see a single dude in that trailer(Not that I'm complaining mind you.).

The first one has actually two male NPCs, who provide a bit of comedic relief, despite being serious as well.
Of course most of the games revolves around the female characters, though the first one wasn't so explicit but left open to interpretation (as per exact comment of the producer).
With this one.. I'm not sure.

Well there were three male NPCs (four if you count the Nightlord) and all of them are shipping Arnice and Lilysse pretty hard. They were pretty damn good wingmen to be honest.
Heck the story of nights of azure is a straight up romance in my opinion. The interactions between the two leads have so much romantic subtext and I always viewed as a couple. They sleep in the same bed, occasionally flirt with each other and Lilysse is constantly acting like Arnice's housewife. Heck there is even a section of the game where you are clearing a monster infested area just to go on a date.
So when I read the "open to interpretation" quoted from the producer, it feels lazy but I can get why they tried to keep it "ambiguous". I'm looking forward to the second one, hoping for a western release date for both this and blue reflection at E3.

Yeah I forgot one, as for the other one I'm not even sure what it is since the game doesn't really explain a lot of the backstory, so I'd leave it out.

Well, for me it was as they said. It could be interpreted in that sense, but also not. There was some sort of innuendo, but nothing big. Also it seems it's present only in the Yoru no Nai Kuni series, as Blue Reflection, despite being part of Gust's Bishojo Matsuri and having Mel Kishida on board, has maybe one minor character who acts that way, while in general the romantic angle isn't very prominent.

Blue Reflection is way different, also I can already tell you you'd better go only for the story as it was the main focus, and it shows (the game is laughably easy even at higher difficulties). I did enjoy it quite a bit and I felt the money was well spent, though.

@ximpalullaorg I'm fine with Blue Reflection being super easy, one of my favorite games by Gust is Ar no Surge and the most difficult thing in that game is figuring out which areas I needed to farm for recipe ingredients. So far I'm really digging the setting of Blue Reflection (from what I've seen in articles and trailers).
Back to Nights of Azure 2, do you think each girl will have there own ending or will it be like the first game where there are four endings and only one of them is good.

It's kind of peculiar, and it's written by three people - the Kino no Tabi author being the most prominent. Most of the time it works, there's only a couple times where the integration isn't perfect, due to some mood jumps. It also has an excellent soundtrack, especially the boss fights music.

It's likely each Lily will bring some sort of variation, though I hope it's easier to adjust because getting the best ending was kind of annoying for me.
And to be honest I'm kind on the fence about the reduction of usable Servan from four to two (though most of them were barely usable and some outright broken).

I'm in favor of having less servans because it feels like less stuff to manage, so I can focus more on the action. I hope they bring in a variation of the Steel Hellion because that Servan was awesome.
