Awesome for T&B being #3. The fans want more T&B.

Happy seeing 80's and 90's series like City Hunter, Pocket Monsters, and especially Digimon (I still miss Kouji Wada) in the top 5.

The shocker there is the Yuri on ice theme--a song that didn't exist 6 months ago. All the other songs are at least a year older and have had plenty of time to build up steam. It's, well, literally a history maker.

Way too many Love Live songs, I find they are really forgettable for me. Feels like a fad when you see all those other themes that have stuck around for much longer.

Nice to see some newer songs though that hold up against some "classics".

^ thanks for the full romanized list

And not a single one I voted for made it in the top 100.
In fact, this list looks quite strange, there's the very popular like the SnK and Tokyo Ghoul openings, but then there's a lot of songs I wouldn't have thought would have garnered so many votes, like songs from movies and special versions of songs.

Glad to see that songs such as Give a Reason have not been forgotten.

Love live dominated, not that I'm complaining since I like quite a few of there songs. And "Every Heart" was in the top 100, that's nice.

Unless I missed something on the top 30, I'm can't see one Yoko Kanno song on there. I think she always gets the shaft on these lists. I love the Love Live songs but she composes amazing music and never gets the credit she deserves.

There's Lion from Macross Frontier around the 19th spot -it's proved to be a very popular song and has been featured in such popularity polls-.

This is a popularity list voted on by people. No surprise that a really popular and recent show got a lot of votes, since it is fresh on peoples minds. For all we know that song won't even make it onto the list a few years down the line. I'm just happy to see some of my classic favorites on there like Platinum and Catch You Catch Me from CCS. Of course it could also be that an new anime for it is coming up next year and is also on peoples minds.

Why not? It's a great song and Mizuki Nana is a great singer.

But then why aren't there more recent songs in the top 10? Of course recency is a factor, but History Maker is only one of four songs from 2016 featured in the list, all of which are below the top 50. That it got to the top 5 is still a huge accomplishment
