I was wondering when ANN would get around to posting this video. When Fem-Broly?
Though Fem-Broly is actually less weird then... Clown God of Destruction? Whaaaaaaa? And 17 back in action? Noice. Its a tournament arc, so I'm not exactly expecting much overall. But at least they're going all out with bringing everyone out of the woodwork, and just going crazy with the alternate universe idea. |

While Fembroly is indeed unexpected just having the first female Super Saiyan is cool.
It could be a crazy tournament, with 110 competitors even if they only show a minority of them in action it'll be insane. Clown GoD and pigtails angel seems like a Batman reference to me. |

This article says that it's previewing action scenes from the show, but I'm pretty sure these are all scenes from the new opening. We'll see though.

I'm curious about the explanation for using Roshi instead of Goten or Trunks. Although, it seems like Super has been making more of an effort to give non-Saiyans something to do.
Also, I was definitely not expecting to see a new Legendary Super Saiyan. |

I hope this doesn't make Broly canon in any way and the similarities are just superficial. Broly might be the worst thing in the entire franchise, the less of him the better. I do approve of a female Super Saiyan, however. It's about damn time.

My guess is that there's either an age restriction or that Fusion is forbidden to prevent Goten and Trunks from competing. Also, the plot synopsis seems to suggest that losing universes will be destroyed, so my guess is that they chose participants who'd take the fighting seriously. As for how the likes of Roshi could compete at all, as we saw in the Universe 6 tournament, not all the competitors are necessarily going to be on the same level as Goku and Vegeta in terms of sheer strength. There's plenty of opportunity for weaker fighters to go against the likes of Roshi, Krillin and Tien so that fights are scaled appropriately. It will be cool to see a female Super Saiyan. But, it looks like she turns into a dude that looks like Broly in the teaser. I wonder what the reason for that is? Can't wait til Feb 5.
