The results are actually kind of what I expected. At the very least I knew Rachnee was winning the Japanese poll because she already won prior popularity contests in Japan.
Also Rachnera is best girl overall, confirmed, as her 1st and 2nd finishes trump Miia's 1st and 3rd.

Yup, we did it! (Actually, I didn't because I was a coward and didn't vote) Rachnera is officially best girl!

Congratulations to Miia winning the Global poll!
The world must love her cheerful personality and her vividly red scales!
Edit: Alright! 5300 posts!

Got to admit, you can't get more monstrous than Rachnera with her many limbs and almost as many eyes- pupil less eyes at that- but her personality is the rarest of harem characters: sincere, blunt and a little bit bashful so that when she's not overtly sexual, she's downright adorable.
I'm a little disappointed at how Lala fared but that's probably due to lack of screen time in the anime versus her chapters in the manga. Bring on... a? We're still on "a", really? OK, bring on a second season already.

There was a gag about that... sorta kinda... in the... second, I think? ....We Love Monster Girls offshoot manga.
Anyway, I'm glad to see that Rachnera was appreciated. I didn't expect her to win, but I didn't really expect her to place second either, so... hooray?

Well not only does she have probably the best personality of the monster girls as mentioned earlier in this thread, but she does cover two rather common fetishes. She's got the legs and BDSM crowds on lockdown.

I'm surprised Miia came in first, and with such a lead. I didn't realize she was so popular.
I was expecting Rachnera to win, but as it turns out I was right for the wrong region.

Didn't know hackers were trying to push for Ms. Smith but all I have to say is " why didn't you guys try harder?". Best girl by a landslide lost by a landslide...

Koda89, though I haven't really read the manga yet, how does Spider-Woman have more popularity Snake Lady? Perhaps it's her BDSM actions. At least Miia is the biggest girl.

Well multiple reasons really. There is of course the BDSM aspect, which always leads to fun times( ). There is also her personality, and not just how she can alternate between being rather blunt and adorable. She is the only one of the girls taking the main character's well being into account. The other girls are, well, let's just say somewhat dumb/airheaded, and this leads to them nearly killing him accidentally. She strives not to do so, rather ironically because of the girls she is the most clear apex predator of the bunch, as every aspect of her is naturally designed to maim and kill.
Lastly there is also the fact that for an insanely substantial chunk of the series she was like the only one of the girls getting any real character development, so much so that even with the other girls getting a boost in development recently, she is still far and away the most developed character in the franchise.

I never expected Lala to win but I am happy she cracked the top 10 both world wide & in Japan. Not too bad.
