Wow, a mousepad, given the fact that most people use optical mouse, this is quiet a useless bonus. Give us a shirt or keychain or something.

Some of us feel weird not using a mousepad, though, even with the newfangled optical mouses... erm, "mice".
I think some surfaces aren't as suitable for optical mouse usage anyway. |

What I want them to do is get off their butts and release the remastered editions of these two movies so they can fit in with the rest of my Evangelion Platinum DVDs! I mean, I like the box idea, and the mousepad would be nice, but why can't they get around to releasing the new versions instead of the same old thing in new packaging?

I would only buy the set if they included the movie related extras from Revival. I have End of Evangelion and that is all I need at this point.

The list price is rather high anyway, and I really don't care for these particular bonuses.

At this point, they might as well just wait for a new HD format to establish itself. |

Apparently you do not know Manga no longer holds the license to Gunbuster. Anchor Bay Entertainment, the company which bought all of Manga's titles when they absorbed the company, has stated that Gunbuster was not one of the anime licenses they purchased and that it is not in their or Manga's current catalogue. As for the Evangelion movie set... If it is the same version, only repackaged, why bother buying it? I have the original release, and nothing is the matter with either one of them. |

x2 We get the same movies that every die-hard Eva fan already has (or should have) and two extras that really don't sound all that exciting. I agree with JiJi McPaws -- they really should have included something better or more useful. I was more interested in the material that was on DVD 7 for the Evangelion Platinum series, and was hoping to see more extras like that in the re-release of the movies (even though they are from unrelated companies). btw, I still wonder just how ADV Films is able to include that material from the movies, since the licensing for those is still with Manga Entertainment. |

What are the chances that Manga Entertainment's license has almost run out and ADV has the opportunity to run in and pick up the license? I mean, shortly before Funimation bought the Slayers license, ADV released very cheap boxsets of that anime franchise, so could something similar be happening with the Eva movies? Dear God, I'd love that to be true, since Manga is always annoying with how little work they put into getting licenses and packaging them well. |

That was not ADV, it was CPM who had Slayers prior. |
