I have absolutely never seen or heard about the Force of Will trading card game, yet very interested on this.

The character designs and overall art style look nice, but there's off about that girl.

For a second, I thought Hiroyuki Sawano was composing for this short film. Turns out I was wrong.

For me, it is because it is so convincing, but not to the point where I'm completely fooled. So I'm looking at it in the mindset that I'm watching traditional animation, then she starts turning her head around it looks really unnatural. I hope the others don't look like this.

The thing about this style of CGI is that people just aren't used to it yet. Eventually it'll be common enough, and perfected mind you, that people won't mind it.
Don't forget its still a fairly new system of animation style-wise. Think about how long film took to progress its techniques and styles. Just because its new and different doesn't mean its wrong.

Wow that's almost good looking CG! It actually look good static, but7 the spell break as soon as motion begin, that pen movement...
Another 5 years and it'll actually look good, maybe they'll re-release berserk

Neat I love these. They can still do these non-commercial works even in 2016 surprisingly.

It's based off a trading card game.

The movement put me off a little bit as well. It's not that I thought it was bad or wrong, but it did break immersion for me. Even so, this seems really interesting, and I loved the art style and color palette. Even though there wasn't much of it, I thought the blue glow of the monsters was a nice contrast to the more muted, earthy colors of everything else. Needless to say, I'm very curious to see these shorts.
Hopefully this isn't too off topic, but if you want to see really well-done CGI, give Time of EVE a shot.

So it sounds to be something similar in format to Short Peace eh? A bunch of random stories in different genres thrown together into a "movie".

I love anthology works, so I've been looking forward to this since it was announced, and the trailer makes me even more excited! Also, why are people complaining about the CGI? This looks awesome! Best CGI I've seen in an all-CG anime film, honestly. Haters gonna hate, I guess.

That's the best use of anime cg I've seen in a long while... Helps that the art-direction seems to be "Hey let Tatsuyuki Tanaka draw whatever the hell he wants".

They're called anthologies, Otomo, the director of Short Peace, has made a few; Robot Carnival, Neo Tokyo and Memories.
