I hope this one properly adapts the manga rather than being goofy like the special episodes. (even though the arc itself is incomplete at the moment)

Wow, they are making this soo unnecessarily convoluted. Can they just confirm that this upcoming show is the second season that was announced way the hell back then, please!
And I really hope it's a full 2 cour series. I really liked the first season, and want to see it get a decent length adaptation.

Awesome!
If everything goes well, this should be an intense heart pounding season with a few twists.

I guess they did this on purpose to give the manga time to develop more. If they did this from the start last July they probably wouldve caught up with the manga fast and they probably wouldnt be able to give it a proper conclusion. NNT is far from over

Weekly Shonen Magazine, "inspiring a new television anime series"... I'm getting a kind of deja vu feeling here.
I'd love a continuation, a proper season 2 but it's really easy to say that the previous TV series will be continued or the manga is returning to TV... new and inspired by are not words to pick if you want to excite the fans of the first anime.
At least I'm guessing it's going to be an original story rather than a gag series like Neg... Neg...
I may be wrong though and it's just them being coy. Don't know why since they're trying to build interest and not raise questions.

They should give it to a studio that actually has time, proper scheduling and isn't doing like 10 given commercial projects at any given time in order to do a more decent adaptation than A-1 Pictures. If not I would expect severe quality drops throughout especially if it goes 2 cour.

I kind off had it in my head that the Seven Deadly Sins was getting a season 2, and that Sings of the Holy War was just extra. So this isn't really 'new' news to me, more like...a re-confirmation? Like the producers saying "Hey just so you know we haven't forgotten about that other thing we told y'all we'd do".
All horsing around aside: I don't think this second season will come anytime soon. When the first season aired it was in that coveted prime-Sunday spot, wasn't it? And isn't that slot shared with My Hero Academia (of last season), The Heroic Legend of Arslan (this season) and Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (next season)? My Hero Academia already has a second season confirmed, and the Heroic Legend of Arslan certainly ended on a way which promises more anime. If Gundom: IBO continues to next year March, and My Hero Academia is Spring 2017, then the earliest The Seven Deadly Sins's second season can show is next July or October 2017 (If they bring back Arlsan before SDS). That's quite a long wait....
(Just a bit of speculation on my part, sorry!)

Guess I can expect it on Netflix once the series concludes in Japan.

If any show deserves a second season, it's Nanatsu no Taizai. Especially since the material has some very incredible and awe-inducing moments that will make you hype.
