I forget where it was mentioned, but the film will be available for streaming in the US on August 27th. So anyone who can't go see it in theaters or can't wait for the game to release with the movie, you can still watch it.

Hmm I was expecting better sales numbers to be honest, but when you consider it was only at 44 theaters that's pretty impressive.

Nobody announces their modest at best revenue numbers like they've just conquered the world quite like Aniplex. Boy does there PR machine love a story line and spin even when they're really isn't one.

These sales number aren't modest at all. This is extremely good for a movie based on a game that had limited number of screens and that was barely promoted at all.
It's getting great reviews in Japan. I can't wait to see it once it's released.

Still just seems like pure carefully controlled PR spin to me really but okay, I'm not really here to pump the industries tires since they clearly seem capable of doing that on their own and there's plenty of people to indulge them.
Might watch it might not, depends on how I end up feeling about the actual game enough to be interested in a movie once it comes out. Also hate to break it to you but FFXV has more promotion than any FF game ever. No real way around that it's been really bloody aggressive.

I'm talking about the Kingsglaive movie. It barely had any promotion in Japan and keep in mind this movie was just announced a few months ago and only had limited number of screens.
