Seeing as how successful Re Zero(animenewsnetwork.com/daily-briefs/2016-06-11/re-zero-novels-have-1-million-copies-in-print/.102906) was already made by the anime, Media Factory probably isn't jumping out of their skin to greenlight another season. See NGNL for my prediction on the prospects of a TV Anime sequel for Re Zero. Another season would probably mean diminishing returns for Media Factory, but White Fox likes making sequels, so who knows. Bones is going to be OK even after MHA, they had a pretty major success with Kekkai Sensen recently. It's not like MHA was a massive investment to begin with. The animation staff clearly didn't kill themselves working on it. |

Re zero will take a while to get a new season since there will be no content.
It will cover all LN volumes currently out |

A better comparison here is The Devil is a Part Timer, a light novel adaptation that was around as successful, if not slightly more, than Re;Zero. Infamously White Fox has never green lit a season 2. In fact besides the split cour Jourmungand White Fox have only ever made 2 sequels, one of which is the incredibly successful Is The Order A Rabbit (GochiUsa) and Steins;Gate(5-6 years after the original), both of which are more popular than Re;Zero and neither of which are light novels. I'm not saying a sequel is impossible, I'm saying White Fox doesn't have the best record with green-lighting sequels. |

White fox isn't even in the production committee for Re:Zero so they don't really matter at all when it comes to deciding a sequel.

Congratulations to Haikyū being No. 1 on the chart! The volleyball matches must have gotten heated up.

According to the all night marathon that Kadokawa, White Fox, and MF Bunko J put together, the ending has been very carefully planned out. And it sounds like White Fox was picked partially because of how they treat source material... which means I'm expecting a possibly anime original ending that has its own conclusion. We'll see, but it seems likely enough.

*Sigh* The Devil is a Part Timer sorely needs a second season. I loved that series so much. Awesome to see Re:ZERO sales faring very well. However, MHA's and Grimgar's sales have been greatly disappointing. |

Media Factory(the publisher for Re Zero LN) being down for another season is the first step in the production of another season, not White Fox. |

Fingers crossed for an original ending. Those are the best, it means that you can still read the original |

Agreed. A lot of people hate original endings, but I would rather have a complete story in anime form AND be able to read the Light Novel or other source material and get a different story. No need for them to be the same. As long as both iterations are well thought out, I'm good with whatever they want to do. |
