Finally we have a legitimate timeframe of when it's ending. The countdown begins now. Wonder how Kubo will wrap it up and if we'll see a Boruto-esque continuation.

even after this /r/bleach is still in full blown denial. They're under the impression he's joking or something. It's hilarious.

Umm okay that doesn't really change a thing, the ending is still rushed and it doesn't deny the fact that it could end in 4 to 5 chapters.

manga's been horribly paced for the better part of a decade. is it any surprise that it ends horribly paced, just in the opposite way?

Years ago people were saying Bleach was canceled but they were going to let Kubo keep writing it for however long he wanted to finish it up. That was always nonsense to me because of stories like this that I saw all the time on ANN. When these magazines want a manga gone, you might get as little as like a month to wrap up whatever you have going. They don't let you linger on forever out of kindness.

Bleach has now officially stopped earning its keep.

I wouldn't take this as meaning the manga has another 10 weeks left. There's already 8 chapters of the manga that still haven't been published and Bleach averages about 11 per volume so even if the last one ends up being bigger than usual you're only really talking about another 5-7 at the absolute best.

ESWJ really should do a poll to add one of its jump start series... Not that there is much to choose from the best choice is Kimetsu No Yaiba.

Not surprised at all honestly just kinda ironic kubos been dragging out fights for the longest and the "EPIC FINAL BATTLE has to be wrapped up in such a short amount of time.

I think people say it's poorly paced because kubo does stuff "by volume" as in 1 chapter of other mangaka = 1 volume for kubo. Try reading bleach like that and the pacing issues people keep having will disappear.

Bleach is veeeeery slow paced, but it doesn't even reach close t the level of "I am a Hero" for example.

I think fans have a right to feel denial or disappointment that its ending so soon because we have yet to have the final fight, aizen has yet to do anything and the way its going it doesnt seem its going to get an actual epilogue with Ichigo x Orihime or whatever.

I really enjoy bleach and i just dont know how its meant to end in less than 10 chapters with how kubo paces his manga.

Yes, it's good to know how much more to expect. I hope Kubo knows what he's doing. It would be so cool to have a vol 75 with a timeskip mini story a la Boruto.

Or if Kubo wants, he can pull a D.Gray-Man and switch magazines. Any magazine would be happy to have Bleach. Despite the hate, it is still a good selling series, still has fans, and still has legacy.

Kubo can't switch magazine on his own. Firstly, Shueisha owns Bleach, not him. Secondly, D.Gray-Man switched to a magazine also owned by Shueisha. If Shueisha wanted Bleach in a different magazine, they would be doing that instead of ending it.

Actually, Kubo does technically "own" Bleach. It's just that publishers like Shueisha are very beneficial to manga creators, as the publisher will handle stuff like licensing, which I'm sure some creators just don't want to deal with normally. For example, if Shueisha "owned" the manga that it has published, then Fist of the North Star's inclusions in Jump crossovers wouldn't be such a potential question mark, since Tetsuo Hara owns the rights to it, & Vertical wouldn't have been able to publish Prophecy, as that was published by Shueisha in Japan (& Vertical generally can't license Shueisha titles), but the creator himself asked Vertical to bring it over.

No it's just poorly paced. He has spent dozens, if not hundreds of chapters at this point, on side characters that are completely superfluous and have contributed absolutely nothing to either the plot or the development of the central characters.
