Good, good. Milk that The Origin cow. I mean it, I'm being sincere. I love this.
Though it would be nice if they did something about the price. Like, y'know... lower it.

Toru Furuya (voice actor of Amuro) came to my country few months ago, he hinted me that The Origin won't stop at episode four and here it comes true.

Awesome! More Origin is more than welcome. I'm loving them so far. On the other hand, it has been a bit of a wait between releases. The quality is worth it, but it dampens the impact of each one when it's like half a year between each. I guess I'll have to plan a marathon for 2020 when they are all out...

Glad that more Origin will be made
Well thinking on the positive side, even though the price for the OVAs is a bit high we have made the OVA a success and basically funded the extra eps

Now this is awesome! I'm always up for more Gundam. Now if only the Blu-ray prices were actually affordable by the average human being...

One nice thing about being in Japan is Book Off. In the case of something popular like Gundam, you can definitely snag a used copy at a more affordable price if you're willing to wait a few months extra. Yes, it's bottom-feeding and doesn't support the creators, but at the prices they're asking, I wouldn't be buying period if not for secondhand. If the price were lowered, I would gladly support the initial release, but I guess they don't think there's enough people like me out there to make a lower price more profitable.

You act as though there will definitely be cheaper releases down the line. Yeah, maybe several years down the line there will be a SLIGHTLY marked down re-release. Maybe. Bandai is just like Aniplex, greedy to the core. I don't know how the executives sleep at night. They must have no conscience.
Even the online stream wants you to pay for each audio track. What a racket.

So are they going to animate the whole thing?
If they were going to do that, shouldn't they have started with Volume 1, and done the movies in the same order as the manga?
Or is the OYW stuff not going to be as faithful to the original?

So they will adapt all the original arcs due to the over-performance of the discs. The franchise (and Studio...) really needed this win and the only bad addition was the original story about the kids. Skip that one.

There already are. You can get the first two standard edition releases for 2500yen each via Book Off. Or if you want the Bandai exclusive CE, 5000yen.

so to someone who started his gundam journey with this ova series, does this mean they are remaking the original?

Well, I for one am glad that Origin isn't going to be just "The Char Show" and is moving on to the part of the OYW I actually wanted to see animated. And if this means more Johnny Ridden and Shin Matsunaga, I'm game.

Not necessarily, the Loum arc is just simply the final chapter/volume of the "Flashback Arc" (Vol.5-7) from the Origins manga.
The original intent of the Origin anime adaptation was just to mainly focus on the stuff about Char (Vol. 5-6). Char doesn't have as much of a presence in the Loum arc (Vol. 7) since the arc is less about him and more about the opening days of the One Year War.
That being said if the Loum arc does very well in sales then Sunrise might consider adapting the rest of the Origins manga. Though one has to wonder what format (TV, OVA, Movies) they'll use.

With how well the Origin OVA is doing disc sales wise, adapting more of the manga is the logical step. The real question is how much more of the manga will they be able to adapt.
Perhaps I should not repeat this once again, but if you are worried about the cost, you don't have to buy the $100 special editions from the Right Stuf. You can import each regular edition volume from amazon.co.jp for around $50. It is still pricey, but it beats paying $100 for an hour movie.
