I work at Media Play and I got to see it yesterday in the back room sence the stock for it isn't for another week, and It looks great.

 Some people are just completists, that's all. I can't claim innocence to having rebought an entire manga series because they came out with alternative covers and figures, or having rebought something because it came with a better cover.

Any word on whether or not the second volume would be released with a special cover in addition to the first? If I bought the manga, I'd like the two covers to somewhat match.
Also, I completely love the anime, but is the manga anywhere as good as the anime? I glanced through it for a moment at Barnes and Nobles, and the art seemed to be sorely lacking, but that could've been some bad impressions. |

The manga is not nearly as good as the anime. If you like the anime for it's insanity and loopy humor, you'll hate it. If you like the anime for its screwed-up symbolism and confusion, you might like it. The manga is rather darker and more chaotic than the anime is, and I'd only recommend it for those who are already big fans of FLCL. Needless to say, I liked it, but then again I like confusing myself.

Wow, when I saw that I got extremely pissed. I just recently [about a week ago] bought FLCL Vol. 1 DVD because I couldnt find it ANYWHERE, and I randomly happened upon it. So I thought I was doing the right thing in purchasing it. Now I feel like a moron.
Do you know if it comes with the booklet or not? I know they discontinued it in the regular DVDs, maybe they tossed it in this special edition.[/quote] |
