Hopefully the netcode'll be good, and if it isn't, well I guess people'll just go back to GGPO etc. Wonder if we'll be getting other titles.

Well that's certainly surprising, bringing back a fairly obscure game like this. Last Blade 2 was a huge improvement over its predecessor, and the Neo Geo CD version was the definitive one to own (the game itself was released only in Japan, but no version of the NG CD had region lock so it was only a matter of acquiring the title itself). The U.S. version of the Dreamcast port went through the usual neutering of content, such as turning the red spurts of blood into...milky white explosions (yeah, feel free to read that with whatever thoughts in mind you may have XD). You also couldn't cut your opponent in half like before, which locked out the alternate ending for one of the characters.

Yeah, we'll see if the online matches run smoothly...

And also, yeah on the "censoring" part. The article on the PS blog of Last Blade 2 of the person that works at SNK-P mentions that there's an option to turn the blood on. So, yes, you can get Hibiki's 2nd ending. Though I hope this release is the same as the DC/NG-CD where you can also play as Musashi in VS/Training, but we'll see.

OH MY GOD!
Very nice news
The good memories of my youth... One of the best fighting games I played.
Not the best per se, yeah, but is one of the very few of that genre that catch my (tasteless?) attention.

i hope next will be KOF 98 , garou: mark of the wolves or at least KOF 2002 or even possibly samurai showdown 4.

also is it me or does that trailer footage looks a lot like the 1st last blade and not last blade 2?
