More Jojo animated? Cool. I also noticed the BD listing for Diamond is Unbreakable today. 39 episodes (3 cour) should be interesting.

Rohan deserves this. Though I do wonder which of the short stories is this going to adapt. Too bad "Rohan goes to the Louvre" seems our of the question, as it is not part of the one-shot series.

There's a little mistake in the article...or well, more like a thing that needs to be cleared up.

One would have to buy ALL of the DiU Blurays/DVD's to get the Rohan one. I guess they'll include a special ticket or some kind of coupon that one would use to reclaim the DVD after everything is out.

Clever. That's one way to try to ensure there's a Part 5.

Someone please debunk this for me! Those rumors s that part 4 will only get a 39 episode adaptation! It's at least 35 or so percent longer than Stardust crusaders and Stardust was covered in 48 episodes!!! How does that even make sense when Stardust crusaders is considered one of the weaker Jojo parts with the exception of the Final battles?
They can't do this to us, can they?

Back when Part 3 was airing they only listed the volumes for the first half originally. Based off the pacing of the first three episodes, thyre probably going to announce a season break and then another 12-13 ep season.

Part 4 is only 20-30 chapters longer. They gave Stardust Crusaders 48 episodes, but the show made a few arcs drag a little in order to fill that slot. Diamond is Unbreakable is also faster paced in terms of action, with chapters flowing much more quickly than in Part 3, which means they'll be able to adapt more content into a single episode.

Another thing: Diamond is Unbrekable has 27 "arcs" (such as the "Jotaro meets Josuke" one and the "meets Angelo" one), and each can be adapted into 1-2 episodes, except probably for the last arc. It seems all pretty reasonable to me.

So yeah, no one is "doing anything" to us. Content isn't getting cut, if that's what you were thinking. And if you simply wish for more Jojo... well, we'll get Part 5 eventually, and it wouldn't be great if they just slowed down these episodes in order to add 3 1/2 hours of run time, right?

Yes thats exactly what I was worrying about. As long as dialogue isn't cut to the extreme and the content remains, I'm happy. Though having read the Manga, 39 episodes still seems to not be enough in all honesty

That seems more likely. I remember this now that you mention it! Let's hope that David Bowie gets the screentime he deserves

Are they seriously asking us to pay over $949 USD just to get this OVA? It better cover the entirety of Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe lmao.

Now that I think about it, past few eps were approximately 4 chapters each. Since they decreased the op time and removed previews, it should fit within 39 episodes with the current pacing it has now.

This is some freaking maths right here. But as long as nothing is left out, everyone should be fine with it. Especially if there won't be a break in between.

The Rohan spinoff anime Is a brilliant idea to justifiy even more Jojo. Yes Japanese Blurays are insanely expensive, but this is Jojo. Let's not forget what power this franchise holds in Japan and not undeserved to say the very very least.
