did a quick, quick search in the posts and didn't see this. I recently got the first Ranma 1/2 boxset and towards the end of the first season Akane has a flashback to the skating battle, but I never saw that ep. in the boxset...
so is it just a flashback that there is no ep. for or is something seriously missing?
The skating episode was ment to be at the end of the first season, but for whatever reason they decided to move it to the begining of the second season. However they had already finished the last episode of the first season with Akane's flashback and decided not to cut them out. So apparently Akane has a moment of clairvoyance at the end of the first season.

(BTW, this was asked recently in a topic on the order of the series, but I figure it's just as easy to give the answer as it is to redirect you.)

Yep, for some reason, the ratings for the first season blow chunks. So they pushed Shampoo part foward in hopes the ratings will jump. The show got put on hold, retooled and came back with the Anything Goes Skating eps. as the Season 2 opener. *L* If you have the VHS verison of it, Viz left in the some thing at the end of season 1, thanking people for watching the series.
