I didn't realize that in addition to new cast, the episode count has been reset. In that case it should be considered a new series. Now it's time to decide how to move and rearrange existing info......

hmmm...
Doraemon 2005 is waiting in the queue to be approved, but I'm wondering if instead we should add a new series for each year. Either way we'll have to split some things from Doraemon 1979. |

Did the series reboot?
If not, I'd strongly say continue it as one series. It's the same series, same plot, same time slot, uninterrupted. Just make a comment explaining what happened in 2005, and an alt-title "Doraemon 2005" -t |

No, the fact that the episode count restarted and the cast changed makes it clearly a new series. Not to mention that Encyclopedia policy is that whenever a series can be split, it should be split.
