It sounds a lot like Sandman. If you haven't read it yet you should before you pick this up.

Hey!, Delirium is more-or-less moe Laughing
But the Sandman is much less linear than just a story "about a war".

BTW, the Comic Book Defense Fund thing website has SIGNED copies of Sandman for "sale"!!
One of the very few times I wish I lived in the US - because shipping charges are a real killer Crying or Very sad

Because peace and tranquality is so overated in manga. Just joking, probably because war is a popular theme in manga.

Are these the same people are fans of stuff like X and Lawful Drug and have been CLAMP fans since before the term moe was coined (or at least enterer popular parlance)?

Oh so the Mangettes project ended being done after all, as no other news where released I thought it was scrapped.
