I'm pretty excited for this. A Resident Evil movie that will actually fall in line with the games, plus with it being CG and having the same voice actor for Leon will make it feel much more like the games.

Didn't even know this was being made. Laughing

I look forward to it. Never did give the live-action movies a chance. >.>

This!

I've been looking forward to this ever since I saw the trailer. I am so glad they decided to go this route for Leon and not have him cameo in the Live Action movies (although now that they are doing it right, they can go ahead and do whatever lol). I am getting this on Blu-ray as soon as it comes out! Woohoo!

You're not missing anything. The main character for the movies is completely made up and never exists in the games. Plus, I'll never forgive them for how they used the Nemesis in the movie.

I'll see it. I have a feeling that the animation--while decent if it was a video game--will drive me up a wall... but I do love my Resident Evil.

Greed: I stopped with the first flick, but the sequels looked passable. It's a shame Andersuck didn't put as much effort in AVP and Death Race, though.

This looks to be awesome. I had no idea this was even being made until I found a trailer for it on a BD I bought about a month ago. I thought it was another live-action movie. To my surprise, it was CG. Sweet! I am so buying this.

I'll definitely buy this. I have a strange compulsion towards the plot of Resident Evil even though it is really just a series of B movies. Hopefully it will still prove enjoyable without the gameplay.

I'm a hardcore fan of resident evil as well.Through and through.I still want 1.5,the GBC beta and the N64 Zero beta.
I know this is never going to happen but I still dream about it.

Anyway.

I like the Idea of a CG movie.I never held the the live action movies in any high regard.Though they were mindless fun.It seemed to me the only things they took from the Resident Evil titles were only from the OP of each game.Well,Two,Three and Code Veronica. It was obvious to the obsessed.I was the annoying guy, calling it out in the theater.

spoiler[Zombie kids were awesome though. At least the movies had the balls to put in zombie kids.We need more zombie kids.] Very Happy I look forward to this CG movie.Leon and Claire(Brunette Elza) can be cool at times.I've tried to ignore this title for as long as I could,so that it could be new and refreshing.

I'm starting to give in. Laughing

Sequels are horrible.

The first RE Movie alone could've actually passed off as a side story of sorts. It did combine many of the elements that makes RE unique and threw a completely different take on it.

The second one was just taking some established work, and modifying it to "showcase" some Directors trophy wife, and add a touch of America in it. I mean, how hard is it to just take RE3: Nemesis, remod certain aspects to be abit more "realistic" and adapt it as is?

The third film....well, I'll let the Onion's AV Club take it:

Quote:
"Anybody who has ever seen a zombie movie can figure out what happens next. Somebody will get bit without telling the others, which will inevitably backfire. Survivors will be forced to shoot suddenly undead friends in the head. One of them dastardly science folk will protect the monsters in order to study them, which will also inevitably backfire. And legions of undead will be re-killed in surprisingly easy fashion."

When I first heard the trailer I didn't think it was the same voice actor for Lean Kennedy as it was in the games! Hearing that it IS completely made my day. I can't freakin' wait!
>_>
I suppose there's no chance of him saying "Don't worry Ashley, I'm comin' for ya!"? That line cracks me up every time I hear it. I have no idea why.
