You mislinked English and Chinese, but otherwise, nice!
I'm probably late in saying this, seeing as the OVA's been out for awhile, but I honestly think this will be the breakaway hit anime this year, beating out even Madoka and Haruhi. In fact, it could very well be the Eva killer we've been waiting for.
A bit of a stretch, I admit. But you can imagine.

So, erm, worldwide or just North America and select other countries?

Quote: | Nico Nico Douga and its sibling services streamed another anime, Fate/Zero, worldwide with subtitles in eight languages last fall. |
I am curious what was meant by "its sibling services", as Fate/Zero was never available on NicoNico.com, and Crunchyroll (where it did also stream) doesn't fit that classification.
I am hoping that like Fate/Zero, CR will also simulcast this, even if like F/Z, it has to be a week later.

I am curious if they will be limiting each country specified to those languages or if people can freely choose. I would think more than a few in Switzerland and Belgium might prefer German and those in Singapore would prefer English....

This seems familiar. I expect to hear that there will be a box set with English subs being sold at the Japanese price, too.

In terms of popularity, who knows what will happen. K-ON!, Bakemonogatari and Madoka were sequential bell-sellers and record-breakers (in Japan), but it might just be that the most popular series are just bringing in the most fans, breaking each others' records mostly due to the growth in the number of people willing to buy the stuff.
Personally, I don't think even BRS deserves to outshine Madoka just yet (BRS and Madoka are the only series I'm willing to spend big bucks on figures and merchandise for), since Madoka was an extremely deep project that they spent several years collaborating and putting lots of time/effort into each individual aspect of the show. The merchandise only come from the results of the show's popularity. BRS, however, was more of a product-based merchandise wheel from the start, which happens to get good writers and background in a short amount of planning time. So I'd personally prefer that fans pay a little more attention to the risky, but innovative series.
But if BRS surpassed Madoka in any way, I would not be too surprised or upset. I just hope it's good...

No, I'm pretty freaking confident that it will be one of the worst shows ever. I mean, its made by all the exact same staff that did that OVA. That OVA was not all that well received, a lot of people hated it. Only the people who loved BRS in the first place really liked it. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be proven wrong by the actual show, I just dont see how I possibly could be since its all the same staff. It will more than likely be more of the same.
Your comment saying that you think it will beat out Madoka and Haruhi honestly blows my mind though. A "bit" of a stretch is quite an understatement.

In terms of sales, I expect it'll be massive. It won't sell as well as Nise (which will likely sell near Madoka numbers), but it could do a good 30k.

It should beat Haruhi second season in sales, which was like 18-20k on average. It won't touch the first or Madoka though.

Well I wouldn't be surprised if it matched up to Haruhi's second season, I don't think I've seen more than two people actually say that they don't harbor great hatred towards that season (I liked it, but geez was the internet in an uproar at the time). The first and Madoka though like you said, it wont even come close.

If you mean from within Japan only, I wouldn't count on it after how poor the OVA did. I'm expecting part of this series to recap the OVA.
