... the cops in charged of the area around the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant right after the earthquake damaged it. Good for them. They deserve all the recognition no matter where it comes from, whether internationally or something as small as from the local anime industry.

Realising that most won't live to see their pensions, for dying of one form, or multipal forms of cancer, yeah nice badge of recognition.

Regardless of what might happen, this is genuinely a gesture on behalf of the industry in my opinion. It is similar to what Akira Toriyama did with his video and posters on the Shonen Jump world porthole website. I don't see it as much different as if DC declared some members of the Army or Navy as 'Real Life Supermen' after a disaster.
