This is the one where the uppity princess runs around with a chain saw and another major character is a werewolf, right? If so, what I've seen of it is an amusing little distraction.

I have yet to start reading my volumes of the manga, so I can't say if I'm excited about this. But from what I've heard/read about Princess Resurrection, I don't think it'll have a hard time finding fans.

Well, I'd think you would be more upset at the show "Heroes", since it'd be more well-known and one of the major characters is named Hiro.

Y'know, Somehow I knew ADV was gonna get Princess Resurrection, although the anime was butchered badly, I think seeing a dub of this might be worth it, and adding in that crazy ADV Films style humour would work too!!

Cast Predictions:
Hime: Kira Vincent-Davis or Monica Rial
Hiro: Kevin Corn, Spike Spencer, or Josh Grelle
Flandre: Hilary Haag (I can picture it!)
Sawawa (Hiro's Sister): Jessica Boone
Liza Wildman: Christine Auten
Reiri Kamura: Tiffany Grant

I liked the manga so I am looking forward to this. I have never seen the anime before so I hope it is done well, but either way I will be picking this one up.

The show has it's faults for not being as good as the manga, but it was still fun. Really, I wouldn't have expected this title to get licensed, it kinda wasn't big at all when it came out, probably more of a Media Blasters license if anything else. Probably because ADV is poor now I imagine. It'd be wise to sell this one in half-season packs though, because I doubt people would care to buy 4 episodes at a time.

It's not really, the animation was pretty lame most of the time. A lot of people who watched it either didn't finish it or did and hated it. It's extremely monster of the week oriented and the only reason for me to keep watching it was because of the delicious female characters and their interaction with Hiro. It's mostly a guilty pleasure.

And this is exactly how you get people interested in buying the DVDs. And it seems like they made a mention to a few episodes, not just one.

Oh cool, they're bringing this over?
Man talk about unexpected. Think they also call this series 'Monster Princess' too. I think this is that series that gets mixed up with 'Murder Princess'. Which is being handled by 'Funimation'. I assumed that was on 'ADV' list. Which is the one I'm waiting for.

She left dubbing all together.

I will get this when it comes out to support ADV.

I love the manga so I'm eagerly looking forward to this...even a butchered version as some people have said should still prove to be quite entertaining. If for no other reason than just to see Flandre going around saying 'hooba?' all the time Very Happy

Well, not quite. I received an e-mail from her not too long ago and she said that while she's now living in Virginia and signed a contract with Studio Center, her family still lives in the Houston area so that means frequent visits and drop in ADV appearances from time to time. Plus she also mentioned that she finished her recordings on The Wallflower a few weeks ago so I wouldn't rule out her appearing on any future ADV title just yet.

That makes me sad. Sad She has one of the cutest voices I've ever heard.

I'm glad to see ADV/Sentai get another new title. Though I wonder if this was tack on to get Clannad, as they are both handled by TBS. If so, at least it shouldn't have cost much and they shouldn't have too much trouble getting their investment back. I just hope ADV puts some marketing muscle behind it, something it has been lacking since the Sojitz meltdown.

I would prefer to see this done in box sets, but I doubt ADV or Sentai are in any position to push the Japanese license holders for it. Though I do believe this title would do better as box sets. I'm hoping once the both establish themselves more, we might see some first run boxes down the line. I may not entirely like box sets, but that's the way the market seems to be moving.

Regardless, I will grab this show and give it a try. I happen to enjoy monster of the week stories, especially with a funny spin. This should at least be a guilty pleasure for me (and gives me something to fill the void before Clannad.)
