So...I started Pokemon more when I was eleven, but I still proudly play it at twenty-two. I don't really follow all the new releases, though...I just like to boot up Diamond on my DS every now and again and yell at my Pachirisu for being so damn cute but unfortunately useless.

It might help that I'm a big animal lover, though, and the "pet" games can't match the imagination with the various pokemon creations.

The best thing about Zillion was the end boss, which I always thought of as being a robot chicken (long before Seth Green put those two words together).

I had fun with the game back in the day, but it doesn't hold up nearly as well as some of the other run, jump, n' kill Sega Master System games like Kenseiden, Spell Caster (based on the obscure Peacock King Kujaku-Oh anime), and, of course, Shinobi, which offered a lot more variety with the villains and backgrounds.

In the vein of Japan tackling US politics in games, everyone needs to do themselves a favor and look up Metal Wolf Chaos for the XBox. Greatest cutscenes ever. Very Happy

Also, Mirror's Edge looks amazing, even if I don't have anything to run it on.

Hah! It's nice to hear when other people know whats going on. (and just in case it sounded like it, that was not sarcastic)

Geez, the next Tales game comes out and I still don't have any of the next gen systems to be able to play it. This is freaking unbearable, I don't have all this money they expect us to pay for this stuff ;.;

I have to say that Tales of Symphonia was one of the most satisfying RPGs I've played in a long while. It's sequel is the only reason I'm even considering getting a Wii. If a PS3 port were made (unlikely, I'm sure), I'd be happy.

While I do have a 360, I still prefer playing my PS2 and as such I am greatly looking forward to playing Eternal Poison. Never played a SRPG before, but this one looks interesting enough for me to pick up, and I'm hoping it doesn't disappoint.

I'm kinda thrown through a loop at the Sengoku Basara X bit. I mean, Sengoku Basara was basically Capcom's attempt at making the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors genre more badass with a sort-of Devil May Cry-inspired style of character designing...I mean sure, the ladies probably love Dante and Nero and so on, but I'd definitely say that Sengoku Basara is a much more manly historical brawler than Koei's ever released, and Arc Systems Works was the perfect developer for adapting it into a fighting game with their previous experience with some great character designs. The vocal cast, too, includes some of the most iconic male voice actors I could name off-hand.

Either way, Arcana Heart was decent fun, despite it being one of the slowest fighters I've ever played, so maybe Daemon Bride will be good fun if I can tolerate the character designs.

I'd recommend Tales of Vesperia on the 360 instead, personally. The official Tales forum likely has my back on this one; Symphonia 2 is mostly a fanservice cop-out, where-as Vesperia is widely accepted as one of the series' best titles with some of the most memorable characters (and, delightfully, dub acting) yet.

I don't game, but I read through this entire series of reviews looking for the Pixies reference promised by the title. Did I miss it?

(Either way, Mr. Ciolek, thanks for reminding me how much I liked that song...)

Well, I definitely still prefer Symphonia but yeah, Vesperia is definitely very good. If you liked the previous games I'd definitely recommend it. I'm silly mildly tempted to get Symphonia 2 but overall I don't really much like what I'm hearing about it and as you said, it sounds like bit of a fanservice cop-out. I will more likely just stick with Vesperia. Especially since I've got Mirror's Edge and Gears 2 both to get as well.

Now that Viewtiful Joe is in T vs. C, there should be no reason why they can't bring this game over here...right?

Seriously, I mean, everyone knows who Joe is, even if he's less famous than those other Capcom mascots.

Ah Saki, now nice to see you since Marvel vs. Capcom (which is also the first and only time I saw her). Looks like you finally got promoted from limited assist character to full time playable hero. Nice :3

Hmmm, another Spectral game again. I have yet to finish Spectral Souls Resurrection on PSP. I love the game's art too, which is part of why I'm hooked. I feel left out of the loop not being able to keep up.

A shame I won't get to play Dawn of the New World. I already milked the hell out of Vesperia weeks ago and I don't want to do a third playthrough. And the monster recruitment system looks like fun in New World too, especially since you can have dragons! Yay!

Well, a game based on Zillion huh? I saw it coming. Still trying to watch that series too, though it's slow going. Sounds like it was a hard game though. And lol at the game over screen, it will definitely get bashed for being emo.
