I think you have the wrong show. That comment should be pointed at Black Rock Shooter, not this. I think this fits well with noitaminA, comparing it to something like Kuchu Buranko. It's different.

I'm looking forward to this.

As was stated above, this fits in perfectly on Noitamina. Originally Noitamina was created for shows that wouldn't fit into the mainstream and this certainly meets that criteria. It's also worth noting that it's based on an award winning manga so expect it to be a quality title.

There's not fitting into the mainstream and then there's not not fitting anywhere. This affront to flash counts as the latter.

Translation: It's not a fanservice-filled Otaku show! IT SUCKS!

Am I right?

This looks like one of those zany comedies that one might see on American television on a good day. That isn't bad, and in some respects there is true originality to this series.

People become too comfortable with mainstream tastes. I won't claim too enjoy every aspect of "creativity", but at least the premise sounds somewhat clever. This show could easily become stupid, but it might not. Lets not bash it just because it is different.

No no. This manga series is a bestseller (Top 50 in 2011), so it obviously has a great mainstream appeal. There will also be a live action movie next year (with a big-name cast). And a live action movie is more mainstream than an anime series.

Actually not. On the contrary, Noitamina was aiming at showing / creating anime series with a mainstream appeal, as in "animes that can appeal to normal people / a general audience" (as opposed to "appeals to geeky audience only"). I suppose some people changed this into "shows that are different from what is created for the mainstream anime audience = otakus", and from there it turned into "not mainstream".
