http://buzz.yahoo.com/television/
if you go there DBZ is listed on the Yahoo Buzz Index too. On news post on the main page , its says that Yahoo Buzz never listed DBZ as one of it top 20. well back in the day like 3 years ago DBZ used to be on top 20 list all the time. anyways, i think the searches have dropped a lot beacuse DB is not as popular as it used to be. times change you know. but def DBZ is the only anime that has had biggest impact or influence on Western Civilization. no other anime comes close to it. altough there are 100s of anime series out there better than DBZ. I mean eveyone knows what DBZ is even in Europe, Middle East, South Asia. i mean how many fans know whats HUNTER x HUNTER [expletive deleted -t] |

It says nothing about "Yahoo Buzz" and it certainly does not say "never." |

You're certainly correct that Dragonball is extremely popular. In truth, I find the fact that it's missing from the other searches top 20 more surprising than the fact that it may be the most popular search ever at Lycos. There's no questioning the impact DB has had on Anime and Manga fandom around the world. And in fact, because of its late introduction to North America it is actually more popular in several places outside of North America. But to say that no other anime comes close is stretching it a lot. Pokemon and Yugioh were both bigger franchises at their peak, Saint Seiya's popularity in Latin America is absolutely mind-bogling, and when it comes to older, North American fans, Cowboy Bebop has certainly had a very big impact in a demographic that is slightely older than DB's target & peripheral demos. The comparisson to Hunter X Hunter isn't exactly a fair one, HxH has no commericial pressence in North America yet. Althought there's no question that 10 years ago, before anyone brought DB over, it was already more popular than HxH is today. |

Tempest hahahhaha lol your a cool dude and i respect you trying to enlighten all of us.thanks for that nice explaination. honestly!
i bet your right again. yeah i understand what your saying. listen man your are older than me so obviously you know more about Anime than me and you probably read more than me too. so basicly i have no choise but to agree with you, you see what i'm saying i can't really argue with you because your right. You have been around the anime community for a lot longer than i have. I'm just a newbie compared to you. well what i ment was that: for example: if you ask a randon guy betweeen ages 10 to 40 / what is DBZ? / he probably might know what your talking about. comapred to Yugioh. Pokemon is pretty popular too but i doubt it was as big as DB. DBZ is usually realted to anime while Pokemon is better know for its trading card games rather than an anime series. do you what i'm trying to say. well either ways. its all good hope i didn't offend you man. also if i might be so bold to say thanks for the link back to szr. apreciate that. |
