Mermaid Forest TV Series???

Cool
I just started buying the Mermaid Tales manga from Viz

The only Question I have is about Gigantor.

Is it the new series or the old B+W ones?

Aren't Tetsujin 28th and Gigantor the same thing?

It must be the new series, as the old ones are already in North America. I'm preetty sure of that.

Oh. and I should get some bishonen otaku in here. More Saiyuki! If Gunlock is anything like Reload, I LOVE IT. Reload, from what I saw was just random bishonen adventures. PWP Anime smile Luuv.

What will be included in Rumiko Takahashi Anthology (sounds pretty cool).
Also, I'm very excited about the new Mermaid Forest TV series (the manga was great).

On a side note, Eric P. Sherman of Bang Zoom! Entertainment confirmed that the company will handle the dubbing for Stellvia and Submarine 707R.

Man, first Midori No Hibi and now Mermaid Forest! Viz must be losing it if they can't even get their hands on their own Shogakukkan titles.

The Rumic Theater is pretty much the anime verison of some of the short stories that she did. It follows stories pretty darn close. As for the Mermaid Forest, I bet Viz is going to grab the rights to the new manga series based on it.

They are Sunrise productions, if I remember right.

Now if only CPM will release all the Rumic Theater OVAs on to DVD. But one thing I was surpised about, I thought for sure that Viz or even Bandai (With their close ties to Sunrise.) will pick up the rights. Confused

Ataru: Still, it's pretty sad to be at their panel, where they didn't have anything special to announce. (Although one of the ANN people hollered at them getting Yamui No Matsuei.) Hell, I didn't even see any excitement from the Inu Yasha fans when they played a clip of the movie. They really need to be more aggressive, cus Rumiko Takahashi isn't going to keep them in business forever.

Wow... my first post here after lurking for a while... I was at that panel, and was very excited to see the movie clip, it's just that I was just too exhausted at that point to manage anything louder than a murmur of, "Oh, cool." That, and I'd heard pretty much everything they said about Inuyasha at the fan panel the day before.

Interesting point you made though, Gatsu... though I can name a ton of Viz manga off the top of my head that aren't Takahashi, I'm hard pressed to do it for anime. Maybe that's just my lack of knowledge talking.
