That's no surprise, but the 1st pokemon movie also got bad reviews, and more people still saw it.

I always thought the only reason many people went to movies like Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon was because their kids would nag them to.

It's "Tomatometer", not just "Tomatoe", which doesn't have an "E" in singular. (I'd make the obvious Dan Quayle comment, but I'm pro-Republican, so I won't.)

I paid to see the Pokémon movie for the novelty of seeing an anime at the Famous Players Paramount cinema, and it was charming enough that I wasn't bored, but I have no desire to see this one, which I don't think will be quite as accessible to non-fans as the Pokémon film was.

Box Office Mojo is predicting that it will only get $5.6 million.

Man. I forgot about this. I -always- get 1st tickets to anime shows when they come out locally.

Oh well. No big loss, I'm sure.

I really pity the parents who are dragged to see this. I really do. Oh goodness. How cruel.

Didn't think this would do very well. The only thing kids want to see this movie for is to get a free card, and then the parents probably sell their souls for the other 3 cards so they don't need to take their kids to see it again to collect them all. But $5.6 million seems like a good estimate for the weekend

Good. It deserves that 0% rating over at Rotten Tomatoes. Yu-Gi-Oh is by far the worst TV series of all-time (this includes ALL animation and live-action shows).

Nah, I'd put it right down at the bottom of the list with Duel Masters

While I think DBZ is repetative and dragged out, I'll still watch it, it's not as bad as these card game shows, but if you hated DBZ, then you must've thought Naruto was the same?

I'll be the judge of how good or not the movie is when I see it.

Anyway, those people over at Box Office Mojo probably weren't even fans of the show (ANY version of the show),so they're probably just biased rather than objective.

That's MY opinion,anyway.

Brandon Gray isn't reviewing it, he's just giving his impartial estimates as to how well it will do, and his predictions are usually the most accurate. I have no idea exactly how he crunches the numbers to come up with his predictions, but he, more often than not, gets within 20% of the actual take.
