I can't even believe how many anime guides I've gone through trying to find this old series that I can't remember the darn name to!!!
Well, what I remember...this series *i think* came out in either the late 80's but most likely the early to mid 90's (or at least that's when I saw in on US tv)....this is set *I think* in the future, but definitely in space. The male protagonist is sort of the typical keeps-to-himself and stoic type with a mysterious past. The female protagonist's name is Star (yay, a clue!). There IS some sort of mecha or mobile suit or whatever those things are called that, for some reason, only the male protagonist can use the best and he fights in it. Naturally, the guy and Star have feelings for each other, but because of circumstances which I can't remember, the guy leaves Star and all the people on the ship...and the last thing I remember is him on some planet looking up into space with a cloak or something on. Pretty sad, huh? I know...I'm not expecting much help here, but I figured it was about time I asked, haha. By the way...it isn't anything with gundam, macross or robotech... |

Sounds vaguely like maybe one of the series from "Force Five", which consisted of:
You might be able to dig around the net for more info about these titles. They were dubbed in the early 80s by Jim Terry Productions, and put together in a weekly block of mecha anime. It sounds vaguely like Spaceketeers, aka Starzinger. You can find a little more info about the other series here. |

Thanks for the suggestion, Cookie, but the series I'm looking for definitely isn't THAT old, hehe...and if my memory serves me right (which sometimes it doesn't ) I think the quality of the anime was more "modern" if you know what I mean, haha. Thanks though.

No, that's not it either *sigh*...thanks for helping though...it's appreciated.
I don't think this series was a comedy....but again, that's just what my memory tells me, haha...which isn't always accurate. |

Teknoman was horrible. Unfortunately Tekkaman blade has not yet been licensed for distribution over here and attempts to bring it out uncut and subbed have been blocked by the people holding the rights to teknoman you can get The sequel ova uncut and subbed on region 1 dvd at any legit stores for the rest of the show you have to look to places like fansubs. I think a group just finished the show but I'm not certain take a look for [EDIT - Fansub group name. -C]. I got it all off of Mirc and it's awesome also the Japanese version goes longer then the american one and the american one was edited. It's amazing I wish there were region 1 dvd's
