I've been downloading raws to the liveaction Sailormoon tv series, and those come with commericals. I keep seeing this one commercial to a videogame for the PS2, and it seems to be a videogame with, well, mechs from various anime. It features Shinji of Eva, Ayato of RaXephon, and a guy who I think looked like Akito from Nadesico. There were a lot of other characters, but I didn't recognize them.
The title is umm... something *can't read the Japanese here* MX, and aparently is coming out May 27th. Does anyone have anymore info on the game? I'm intrested in importing it, but I need the full title to do that. I can post some screenshots if people want to see them. |

I know there is a game by Sunrise that takes all of its Mechs and puts them in a fighting game....

According to Gamespot this is the 32nd release in the Super Robot Taisen series. Since it hasn't made it here yet, I doubt this one will. Also I believe it's release date in Japan was in March, so it's way too early to tell. It looks like it would be a fun game, but I wouldn't hold my breath as far as it making it here goes. |

Super Robot Wars is a series I have wanted to buy. I have seen some game footage of the PS One and PS2 games, and it has always sparked my interest. I also had played a gba rom called Super Robot Wars R (I think its called that), and It was kinda fun. The Playstation One and PS2 games are much better, and the attack cutscenes look awesome. Its a shame it hasn't came to the US. If it did it probably wouldn't have sold to well because of the older 70's mechs that are in the game.

Hmm a game with cross liscensed characters sounds cool especially when you have the classic robots/mechas like Mazinger and getter robo. one question however, are the character super deformed or more similar to the Animes? The last Anime Mech game i have played was Tech Romancer. A good Mech fighting game that paid homage to Mech-related Anime series. (And to think that many gamers thought the Sega dreamcast sucked. ) Last edited by the_soultaker on Tue May 25, 2004 7:36 am; edited 1 time in total |

The robots are super deformed, the pilots are not. |

If I understand corrctly, the SRT series has yet to be translated because of all of the copyrights. If you look at the copyrights they are huge since they pull mecha and characters from so many titles. Super Robot F/FF for the Saturn was my favorite, since it was released in two parts and literally took up hundreds of hours to complete. Counting replays (branching plot structure) I've dumped more hours into Super Robot Taisen F/FF than any other game (including any Final Fantasy) except Everquest.
