Like I said in the other thread, to see the Naruto movie drop from #3 to #7 is just sad. I kinda expected it to fall with The Dark Knight being released (I mean, look at how it's doing here in the states; I have no interest in the movie personally, but I know just by the hype that it was going to do well overseas), but all the way to #7? Tsk...

Naruto movies are like filler IMO.It's getting old.Plus Ponyo is pretty damn good.Movie companies should know better than to go against any Miyazaki title. With his huge following not even the mighty pocket monsters stood a chance.

What the hell Sky Crawlers?
Is Oshii just not as popular in Japan or something? I expected for it to at least top5, but in #9 in just its second week... wow.

Sky Crawlers is only playing on one screen in Tokyo (as far as I can tell), while the other movies in the top 10 are all in the Multiplexes. If that's true, then #9 isn't a bad showing at all considering...

Well, I already knew that nothing could really beat Ponyo in the box office, not even The Dark Knight.
And not all Naruto filler is bad. =P

Oh, surprisingly, The Dark Knight more than lives up to the hype, but Miyazaki is an icon in Japan as much as Batman is in America.
