Once I started reading the second volume, I couldn't put the book down. Not to say that I would disrespect the first volume, it's just that the first volume is a prequel to the actual storyline. With the drama that I've seen through the fourth volume, spoiler[Komatsu Nana has really been able to draw support from Ohsaki Nana, with all that happened in her breakup with her boyfriend and all.] Going to have to find a way to get volume 5, because I really want to see spoiler[what will happen after the rock show.]

I was addicted from the first chapter, but it and chapter two are definitely very much set-up for the main storyline.

The desire to read what comes next just gets worse as you go on, which is good since the series is a bit on the longer side (at least compared to what I usually read) but it keeps things pretty exciting for the most part.

I recently picked up the first two volumes. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved how it had completely grabbed my attention after the first several panels. I'm getting impatient with my local bookstores though, since they don't have anything beyond the first two volumes. Sad I'll probably just order from TRSI.

Umm, yeah. I would definetly get it online if they haven't been getting it in at all through the bookstore. I bought the first four volumes for a dollar at Book Off, but I think I'm going to buy the rest of them, at what they charge regularly, three bucks a volume. Can't wait to see what happens next!

I own 11 volumes of Nana and love it. Although for some reason I'm kinda annoyed that spoiler[Nana K. gets pregnant] it's no big deal

I'm a fan of Yazawa's realistic take on romance and relationships, and it always stunned me how relatable her characters are, especially in this work of hers, spoiler[but the rate at which the characters fall in and out of love made me grow kind of tired as the series progressed and caused my addiction to kind of wane after volume 14.]

I still love the series, and I think I'll read it to the very last volume, but recently I felt like taking a break from the series and the drama after finishing each of the later chapters.

Komatsu Nana spoiler[getting pregnant isn't that surprising to me, on the part that she was trying to find love here and there, but she was definetly not honest about her feelings towards the men in her life. In a way I felt that what she did was in part her fault, but I'm glad that she decided not to abort the child ](read up to volume 11 so far). However spoiler[the developing story that has happened so far with Ohzaki Nana and Honjo Ren being put together by the media has been interesting indeed. It shows how anal the media can be ]in this day and age.

Yeah I guess Nana K spoiler[getting pregnant wasn't that suprising] but I really really hate Takumi. Why him?

Aw, a lot of people hate him but I love Takumi and all his messed-up-ness. Also, I think he's actually spoiler[the better choice for Hachi, because he actually understands who she is, at least more than Nobu did (he definitely had her up on a pedastal).]

Plus, of course, spoiler[the baby definitely is Takumi's, so he should be the one taking care of her]. (spoiler for the flashforwards, which I'm not sure the English released manga has gotten to yet)

I agree with marie-antoinette, I like Takumi for the same reasons.

I hated Takumi for a long time. However, as I've been rereading (well, reading it for the first time, but it's like a reread given how closely the anime follows the manga) the series with the Viz release I'm beginning to understand him a bit better. I'd still love for things to be different, but I can't really hate him. At least not currently. You never know when latent loathing will crop back up with me. ^_-

I felt relieved when it was hinted that spoiler[Nobu wasn't the child's father -as much as I like Nobu, maybe even better than Takumi, I don't think either him or Komatsu would develop into stronger and better individuals from dating each other.]

Nobu needs a strong and a realistic woman to balance his naivety, *Spoiler for later volumes* spoiler[and this is where Yuri comes in] , while Komatsu needs someone who would be hard on her sometimes and wakes her to the harshness of life, spoiler[and I think that what eventually made her fall in love with Takumi. ]

Though Takumi definetly acts like a douchebag spoiler[(he even sleeps with another actress while Hachi is at home)], I have to give him credit for spoiler[taking the responsibility and being man enough to say that he was going to take care of Hachi and their child, even if it wasn't his (which it looks like it is).]

The whole series sure comes to light though when spoiler[everybody is sleeping around with everybody.] I think I can recall: spoiler[Nana x Ren, Hachi x random guy, Hachi x former bf who cheated with Sachiko, Hachi x Nobu, Hachi x Takumi, Takumi x random actress, Leyla x Shin, Shin x random MILF, Nobu x Yuri], I'm sure there's a few more.
