I certainly hope he has fully recovered from his nervous breakdown. I'd hate to see Cutie Honey end like EVA did.

His take on Evangelion would be perfect for Devil Man though.

Actually, EVA ended with such limited animation mainly because a Gainax official was revealed to be embezzelling a fortune in cash, leaving no money for proper animation through the last few episodes of the series and forcing the dialogue heavy, minimal animation scenes so famous in the last few episodes. I doubt that he'll have to worry about that this time.
Unless you mean the fact that it was a total mindtrip, to which I say it's been over a decade since: he's probably over it alreeady. /actually isn't interested in CH at all , just saw an EVA post |

So all that review tripe that EVA was Anno's reflection of his own mental instability intertwined with psychoanalysis of biblical proportions into the basic fears affecting all mankind, was just bollocks then?

Do you have a source for this? Because it sounds like a rumor-mill remix of the tax troubles a few Gainax employees had a year or three later. |

Apologies, I cannot seem to find any more information regarding the embezzlement debacle. I do remember reading in what seemed to be a reliable source (off the web, actually--I will see if I can find the same article again) that sometime after production, one of the company was found to have embezzled large amounts of money during the period in which NGE was being produced. I will try to find my original source for this, but for now you may accept it or dismiss it as you please. Mohawk52 No, at least not if that was his intention (still no "official" confirmation or denial either way). It's just a note on my information regarding the extremely limited animation in those last few episodes. |
