Does anyone here read anthology manga? For those who don't know, anthology manga volumes will consist of different authors writing random segments about either a certain series, or even video games. In other words, kind of like dojin, but it's in a tankobon volume. I have found some interesting ones over the past couple of weeks, such as Dead or Alive Extreme Volleyball or even Fate/hollow ataraxia. The most seemingly interesting one to me so far has been called Yuri Tengoku, or with its "Japanese" English translation Girls' Heaven. This reflects upon references to series that have been yuri.

I do and i love anthology manga magazines like shonen jump and oh i can't wait for Yen Press and Faust.

I own some based on videogames like Xenosaga. I can't really read them though, because my Japanese is horrible

Well, haven't seen many get translated into English, which probably explains why they don't sky rocket over here. But I'm pretty sure that they're still popular with fans, because you get more exposure of the characters, in a non-canonical way. |
