That was an excellent spoof of Mushi shi! To be all serious up until the last panel, then blammo! You've outdone yourself this week, Robin.

Yeah ... I gotta agree with Nina on this one.
Quote: | Special announcement: Anime News Nina author Robin Sevakis will appear as a special guest at this year's New York Anime Festival, September 26-28! Don't miss it! |
Why wait? Send her around on the whole convention circuit!
Edit: Paola (*curses having to go back a month to find the spelling of her name*) sure is doing an excellent Cabbage Patch doll impression in panel 5 there.

So my question is how and why did Nina have a dead spider in her ear? Ewwwww. Hope it didn't lay eggs.

Ewu!! Gross! A dead spider. That sent shivers up my spine and made me laugh simultaneously. Very nice spoof of Mushishi, though I didn't get that until it was said. But upon a reread...oh yeah, that's Mushishi.
Good luck at the panel. Don't get glomped to death!

Great job Robin, this was awesome. To be all serious until the last pannel was quite funny.
Great job Robin, you've outdone yourself this week.

HAHAHAHA, so it was a dead spider in the end.
This was an interesting spoof of Mushishi, to say the least. Keep at it!

Love the art style, love the sense of humour, love the parody. I wouldn't have picked a series such as Mushi-shi as being a target of parodies, but this was just brilliant.

I have to finish watching that anime one day.
On another note, congrats on being a guest at the thingy you are going to, unless you insisted on being there or some other thing I can't think of that made you go there. Why thingy? Cause I'll not attend as studies, money and other stuff keep me stuck here in my little hole called Quebec city. Though I did go to Otakon 2007, which was quite a blast and a unique occasion to leave my hole and all.
But still, have a blast and be sure to make some kind of neat comic from the experience you'll have lived!

Great work. I love the dark and serious mood followed, of course, by that anti-climax.

As someone who cosplays' as Ginko at conventions, I found this installment to be absolutely hilarious! I love how only Kevin's right eye is visible as well!~ Great Job, and Congratulations!~

I loved this one! It did have a very Mushishi feel to it and was a lot like the series. The last part was just hilarious.

Notice how the elves in anime are the only ones who have really long ears? All other elves in either RPGs, Tolkien stories, or Christmas specials all just have slightly pointy ears.
