I watched the movies. It looks like he died at the end. Is the ending the same as the TV series? Did the TV series has an epilogue or further explanation? The movie ending was so abrupt, it shocked me. Thats probably their intention too... really sad.

Also what is Ashita no Joe 2 all about?
