Y'know, I love how people complain whenever Lupin III's removed from the Adult Swim schedule, but then when it's on they never watch it, prompting AS to cancel it again! If you people want it on there so badly, why not actually show AS that it can get ratings and tune in for once?

I know lots of people that watch Lupin III. But none of us are Nielson households, nor do any of us fill out a Nielson survey. The people that count just aren't watching. A moot point maybe, but a point nonetheless.

I don't know... I've got most of the episodes of Lupin the 3rd that Cartoon Network had the rights to (The first 26... basically the first 4 or 5 DVDs), so I never watched it on CN... I tried to get a friend of mine that took the ratings surveys to write that they watched the show on weekdays so maybe CN would buy new episodes, but that didn't work out (stupid closet anti-anime people).

I watched lupin the 3rd the first few times they played the episodes. after that it became kind of boring, but I watched it again the last time they brought it back. Of course I also am not a neilson family, just a po' college student Sad

Well, like it was said, no one really watched. As much as I wanted to watch, the rents got in the way. *grumbles something about early bed times during the week*

But, once you think about it, it kind of keeps things fresh and new and such. If Lupin the III was on all the time and they never took it off, people would stop watching it because they've seen it too many times. Introducing a new series will get peoples' attention, and more viewers. This could also encourage the people to buy the DVDs, so, the companies benefit from this too, I guess.

Right you would most certainly think so, but I remember when they replaced Cowboy Bebop with Lupin the 3rd last summer and how CN got a flurry of complaints. Heh so much so that they started putting cards up about it at any rate.

I agree though new blood is needed every so often to keep things alive, I know that I don't really need to watch episode 4 of anime X 6 times just so that I can delve into the deeper more complex undertones.

If you really want to see it brought back so badly take a page from the book of the bebop fans, that show has been running non-stop on adult swim for more time than I care to remember (which doesn't bother me seeing that its one of my favs).

Before Lupin even went back on the air they intended to pull it again when WHR came on, it was a temporary filler. They schedule this stuff months in advance for the most part.

Adult Swim made fun of this type of comment during the commercials on the last broadcast of Lupin. The commercial went along the cycle of Lupin III of it coming back and leaving.

I watched my first episode last night, more this morning because it is on at 1 am, and I loved it even though it was episode 3. I'm glad Lupin is gone and there is something new and fresh to watch. I hope it stays for a while. I say, if Lupin MUST come back, even though I am happy it is gone, replace it with something that is old too. I would like Home Videos replaced. Though Adult Swims schedule is too late for me in general.
