Well, first of all, were the original graphic novel editions edited? If so, were those edits retained or were they removed in the VIZ BIG editions?
Or have more edits been added, like reduction of swearing, less violence, covering up nudity (is there any in the first place?), etc.? |

Well, I can't answer this question, but if you ever need to know about edited manga (so you know which to buy and which to download...>_>) here is an amazing topic from AoD...
http://www.animeondvd.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=65197 It has a large list on much of the edited manga to reach US shores (it's really a shame at how long this list actually is, it's amazing how much some of the US manga companies can suck! And they wonder why people don't want to purchase them...). Kenshin isn't listed, but you should be careful none the less (this is Viz we are talking about, the same people who did the incredibly stupid Shana edits...). you may want to post this question on that board as well, the people are friendly enough to help you out. |

To my knowledge, Viz's release of Rurouni Kenshin was perfectly fine.
Barring any accidental incidents with the VizBig editions in the future, the current re-release of RK should be fine too. |

The only problem with the RK release was one line around volume 14 or so that was translated incorrectly and states that Shishio is a Hiten Mitsurugi master. But RK was never edited. |
