Well a member at skullknight.net boards visited Media Blasters panel and here's what happen.
"Went to a panel at a convention today and a gal working for Media Blasters said "There will be another series." She said that the Japanese company who released it there was very happy with the US release, but Kentaro won't have it until he's "finished the series off". Woman doesn't realize that probably won't be for another 5 or so years. Just thought everyone should know what came from the horses mouth" end quote. I'm assuming he went to Katsucon since he mention three days ago he was going their. So what's your thoughts on this? This guy is trustworthy. well, this is a question that has already been asked and the answer is unfortunately "no"
That 2nd season has entered preproduction 2 years or so ago and from that moment on, nothing has been ever heard of it again so i won't get my hopes up on a new TV season |

If thats the case it looks like it's gonna be a long, long wait. Anyone whos read the last volume thats been released in Japan knows it could be a long time before it's over. It looks like the main conflict with spoiler[Griffith and the new Band of the Hawks army] is just getting under way. Actually, there's enough right now for two more seasons almost. It would be intersting to see it happen, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. |

I'm wonder if they be re-doing the series? Assuming the Manga be finish in 5 to 6 years the anime series made in 1998 will be 9 years old might as well redo the series and continue on.

For me redoing the series is a little much.I wouldnt mind if they did a recap of the original leading to or focused around Nosferatu Zodd, the skull knight or the later events occurring in the manga revolving around Guts.
spoiler[I am told in my research that Caska becomes more and more out of the picture according to the manga. But as long as they somehow close that whole situation, I see no problem on how things roll out.] D.W. |

I 've heard people say that but, spoiler[thats not exactley true. She's not a part of the 'Retribution, Lost Children' arc that follows after the eclipse. She's left with Rickert and Erika at Goto's place right after the eclipse, after Skull Night rescues her and Guts from the tornado they we 're inside. However, after the lost children arc, she's very much a part of the series again. She's even with Gutts and his new groupe he's traveling with right now in the last book that came out. she's not the same Caska anymore, but she's still very much in the picture] |

Well cool then, i stand corrected. I haven't been necessarily keeping up with the individual mangas released. Good 2 know.
