Slayers DVD sets

Did they ever fix the audio problems with these? I remember getting the first series and being disappointed in the audio, then hearing a new set was being made that fixed the problem, but then the new set had even more problems.
I also hear the Next and Try sets had audio problems as well. Were they fixed, is it safe to buy the DVD sets yet?

CPM is rather retarded and never bothered to check the 're-mastered' or the 're-re-mastered' versions to see if they actually worked.

If you buy the DVD box in person the box will have a "re-mastered audio" sticker on it.

More than likely you will be fine.

I think, but I am not for sure, that the problem with the audio was for the Dub track only. So, if you watch the Japanese w/ Eng subs then don't worry about it.

I worked for Right Stuf International, and they did the replacements for CPM. The people sent the "defective" discs to us and we sent out the next batch of "re-defective" disks Rolling Eyes

All the employees watch Japanese w/ Eng subs and we all took a set of "defectives" home. No probs.

And as far as I heard there was only problems with Season 1.

Not quite, on my copy the Japanese track was messed up. Therefore, I was stuck listening to the sub-par dubbing.

So that's a "No" then. I guess this means I get to wait until someone else get's the rights and decides to make a good version then. Saves me a bit of money.
