I wonder if all the language they're getting away with will allow us to see less edited "annie-may"?

Omg, AS Comedy last night was wonderful.
I was suprised at the SGC2C episode. It was pretty.. edgy, if you ask me. |

Yeah, the Space Ghost episode had me howling with laughter.
Plus then there was Mission Hill. "It's Shooters Night at Hooters. Or is it Hooters Night at Shooters?" |

Just as long as there's no miscommunication between CN and the distributor (eyes Funimation), I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually air stuff that makes "FLCL" look as tame as "Hamtaro". And if you say "hentai", you will know the pain of Sailor Bubba. |

I know they won't ever air hetai. (at least you didn't subject people the the eye rape that is Man-Faye )
Only the future can tell. |

I heard over at Toonzone that that was actually on TNT and not CN.

No it was on CN. It aired during an anime movie festival in the summer of 1995. They also showed Robot Carnival, Lensman and another one I forgot the name of.
Seemed so long ago. |

Yeah, I'm actually surprised with what they've managed to get away with so far on Adult Swim. At this rate, we might even begin seeing a TV-M program or two pop up before the year's out (not betting money on it, but it could be a possibility).
On a personal note, their sudden frequent use of "feck" always gives me a chuckle, as it reminds me of this hilarious British sitcom Father Ted (one of the characters, Father Jack, uses "Feck!" as one of his trademark lines in the show). Wonder if the WS group are BBC fans. |

They probably could get away with that. After all, South Park is TV-MA, but several episodes probably aren't worthy of that rating. Since the "severe" curse words are bleeped out, the only reason I see an "M" rating necessary is when the episode uses excessive biting satire of race/religion/sexual orientation. If sex would be the biggest obstacle for a program to overcome, they could go with the good old mosaic censor. The Virgin mobile phone used a blur/mosaic combo on their commercial, and that was everywhere. |
