I've only gotten so far as ep 9 but I'm still working on it. I put it off for awhile to catch up on other series but it's interesting to say the least. I like the art and the whole airships concept. I heard it can drag for time to time, but I've read many positive reviews on it. I must finish it!

*Hated the ending because of how they killed her fave character dio, and well, everything ended to... happy for me
I loved Last Exile. Story wise, it needed work, because it was just slow in a wolf's rain sense. But that didn't stop it from being a fun ride. I'm planning on buying the dvds when I have money.

Seen the whole thing. I thought LE did in fact feel much like Wolf's Rain (drag-drag-drag) in a way that had some light and dark areas in the storyline. There were some episodes I could have done without or I felt were not building to much. Also some deaths "hint" that I believed were not warranted. Maybe Im looking at this series in a hollywood point of view though. I do believe after all the sacrifices a good happy ending is needed however.
In short this was a good series but definately not one of the greatest in my book.

Should have been 13 episodes, or had more plot. They really never develloped much in the way of interesting side storylines. Also, Lavi should have had more screen time in the second half of the season. She gets sidelined for several episodes and gets way less zany. Sad, because her energy was pretty much carrying claus' clueless ass throughout.
Amazing artwork. Shame there weren't more fleet battles like episode 1 (or 2, I can't remember). Also I'll register a complaint made by another friend watching it at the same time. The Silverna (Silvana. SP??) is butt ugly.
If you did like LE though, check out Skies of Arcadia. Great game. I did enjoy LE myself, it's not one of the greatest of all time, but it was enjoyable.

Lmao your sooo right about Lavi being more sidelined compared to cluas being clueless.
Skies of arcadia for the Dreamcast is indeed a good game. Stamp of approval there.
