There is no part two. I wish there was no part one.

The only news on Ninja Scroll side is the live action movie, if I remember right.

Mad House is working closely with UV on a Ninja Scroll tv series, and I think ADV's financing a Ninja Resurrection tv series. There's also some live-action versions of Ninja Resurrection available from Media Blasters. They might be called Samurai Resurrection or Samurai from Hell or something...

I'd just like to point out that Ninja Scroll and Ninja ressurection are not related in any way. Some company(I want to say ADV, but I'm not sure) just lisceanced a anime, renamed it Ninja:Ressurection and copied the Ninja Scroll box art as well as they could while still being in the legal to make fans think it was a sequel. I hate ressurection more for that then anything(Though it is utter crap by it's own merits)

They're related in the sense that they're based on a popular Japanese warrior by the name of Jubei. Animerica did a piece on that a couple of years ago, if I recall.

Here is a little excert I found in one of my Kendo books on Jubei.
"The eldest son of Tajima no Kami Munenori was Mitsuyoshi Yagyu (1607-50). This famous member of the Yagyu family is known in literature and on stage by his nickname of Jubei. Misuyoshi served the shogun Iemitsu Tokugawa as an agent on several missions to report on the activities of the damiyo (ruler) in Kyushu. He founded a school [of kenjustsu] (the feudal Japanese sword style) at Masakizaki in Iga Province (Mie Prefecture) He is considered to be the founding father of the Yagyu school of Kendo. Of the many forms of swordsmanship devised in that period, the Yagyu form is considered to be one of the most formidable. The exploits of Mitsuyoshi have been dramatized in the feudal romance, Yagyu Tabi Nikki (A Travel Diary of Yagyu)"
- This is Kendo, Junzo Sasamori
Actually, if you have ever played Samurai Showdown I believe the Jubei in that game is supposed to represent Mitsuyoshi.
